Tanera is an Associate Editor for the Voice and Speech Review and The International Dialects of English Archive online, and is a member of the Voice and Speech Trainers Association. 

Acting credits include numerous commercials and voiceovers, a season at Illinois Shakespeare Festival (Hamlet, Cyrano, Two Gentlemen of Verona) and the Festival de la Rue in Switzerland, and works with Chicago’s Court, Redmoon, and Organic Touchstone theaters.

As a Teaching Artist and Arts Integration Consultant with LEAP/Arts at the Center (Chicago Teachers Center), Tanera has co-taught over 40 integrated units at Chicago and Elgin public schools, and has led numerous professional development workshops for teachers and artists both in the U.S. and abroad.
